How can you stay home while be active and motivated to improve your fitness and basketball skills?
1. Be Positive.
Focus on what you can control and accept what you can't control. The COVID-19 pandemic and all the unfortunate circumstances might make you feel sad and demotivated. But focusing on these uncontrollable thing will not help you to get better. Instead, think outside the blue and start asking yourself ”how can I get better while I am stuck at home?" There are so much you can do - correct your posture; train up your fitness level; work on your dribbling skills; start to eat healthy; study the game and more.
2. Be Self-reflective.
Clean your mind and find your purpose and drive in playing basketball. Ask yourself the following "whys" e.g. "Why do I play basketball?" "Why do I want to be better?" "What are my goals of playing basketball?". Spot and clear the mental barriers that might be stopping you from achieving what you want.
3. Be Disciplined
Start creating small training routines and be more productive every single day. You now have all the time in the world. How are you maximising your time to achieve your basketball goals? Be disciplined make the most out of anything - the last thing you want is to waste weeks or months of free time sleeping, playing with your phone and slacking your time off.
